Our investment style is traditional and timeless. We firmly believe that a clear, disciplined and systematic analysis is the key to sustained investment success. Whether bonds or equities, our analyses are based exclusively on our proprietary research and specially-developed analysis tools, such as Corporate Earnings Alpha and the CEAMS Financial Conditions Check (FCC).
The Quality investment style is used around the world and has undergone thorough analytical testing. At its heart are investments in bonds and equities issued by companies that are leaders in terms of qualitative factors such as financial basis, business model, market position and management. Selection criteria have been proven to impact on a company's financial success.
We pursue a "best overall" rather than "best-in-class" approach that is independent of any index. This applies to our Quality investments in equities and bonds alike. After all, regulatory frameworks or simply the consequences of structural change mean that not every industry is capable of generating Quality companies to the same extent.

Our Quality research in the equity segment covers the following investment universes:
- Switzerland: SPI
- Europe: Stoxx 600 (large caps) and MSCI European Small & Mid Cap (small & mid caps)
- USA: S&P 500 (large caps) and Russell 2000 (small & mid caps)
- Japan: Nikkei 225 (large caps) and Russell Nomura Small & Mid Caps 2000
- Eastern Europe: Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged 15, as well as MSCI Turkey and MSCI Russia
- APAC: MSCI Asia Pacific All Country
- Emerging Markets: MSCI Emerging Markets
- Global: MSCI World
Our bottom-up approach to investment segments the market according to quality criteria, on the one hand, and valuation criteria, on the other. The objective is to identify companies of a high quality that are also attractively valued.
CEAMS Quality Bonds
Our Quality research in the bond segment covers the following investment universes:
- Europe: bonds issued in EUR
- USA: bonds issued in USD
- Switzerland: bonds issued in CHF
All bonds are analyzed and valued in accordance with a Quality rating system developed by CEAMS.
Quality bonds must satisfy CEAMS Quality criteria within the parameters given above. Unlike Quality equities, valuation is not a criterion. However, in the bond segment greater importance is attached to the financial stability of the issuing company.
